The junior development program is targeted at the Under 14 to Under 17 age groups. It is designed to establish leadership skills and emphasize the importance of teamwork in lifesaving. It is also a chance for the cadet group to interact with each other through fun and rewarding activities.

The 2007 - 2008 junior development program will involve a number of Sunday morning activities over the summer and will include courses such as high ropes, rock climbing and abseiling.

A scuba course will also be run and there will be a chance for the cadets to take part in helping those who are not as fortunate as the rest of us. The program is open to ALL Mooloolaba SLSC member sin the Under 14, 15 and 17 age groups.
