All Active members over the age of 15 are eligible to hold a Surf Bronze Medallion. Once obtained the member is allocated to a roster to patrol the beach on weekends and public holidays during the surf season. Council Lifeguards patrol the beach outside these times 7 days a week every day of the year.
Active members may go on to gain other awards which qualifies them with specialist awards. |
