The Aussies 2016

The Australian Surf Life Saving Championships, known as “The Aussies” began on Bondi Beach back in 1915. Since then, The Aussies has become a major event on the Australian sporting landscape. Clubs from across Australia send the best of their best sporting teams to battle it out at one of Australia’s iconic beaches. The two week festival of surf lifesaving sport action consists of:

  •  Australian Youth Surf Life Saving Championships
  • Australian Masters Surf Life Saving Championships
  • Australian Open Surf Life Saving Championship

In 2016, The Aussies will be hosted on the Sunshine Coast between Mooloolaba, Maroochydore and Alex Heads Surf Life Saving Clubs. This opportunity will bring thousands of Elite athletes from hundreds of clubs across Australia to the Sunshine Coast. We will keep you updated with all the news and information about the 2016 Aussies as planning continues over the next few years.
